The thankful cook
I can't believe it's been so long since I left a note for all of you. Daybreak Visions has been open a year and a half now, time sure has flown by.
As with anything else we do in life best laid plans tend to change along the way. What I once thought would be just baking cupcakes or selling photography has turned into providing more family food service. Don't get me wrong I'm very thankful I can share my love for food with others and happy to see where the road takes me.
You probably wonder what have I been doing, well I've been working to grow in many ways. The kitchen has been upgraded with a new kitchen suite in beautiful black stainless finish, there are new recipes, marinades and seasoning as well. One of the goals for me is to provide healthy meals so I've been growing vegetables and herbs, experimenting with new spices and creating my own blends to season even the toughest taste buds. The zucchini I learned is not so easy to grow, well the growing of the plant is easy I however picked the plant that was entirely male and produced no fruit. It did however have some big beautiful blossoms which I learned could be very tasty when stuffed and sautéed. Growing of herbs has been very fruitful and they have been transplanted to an indoor garden where they are continuing to sprout like crazy. There's nothing like fresh herbs in a dish like lemon thyme chicken or garden tomatoes in basil, balsamic and EVOO.
Anyway these are a few of the things I've been up to. I'll work on keeping you up to date on the progress all around. It'll be interesting to see how all my little green babies survive the winter.
Be well my friends, let the road guide you even when you think you know the best route.
